Common questions
Is the free version really the full product?
Yes. The open-source core contains every feature — endpoint management, patching, remote access, automation, monitoring and reporting. There are no feature gates or endpoint limits. Paid offerings add hosting, support and services, not features.
Do I have to pay extra for SSO or MFA?
No — and we never will. Single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) are basic security hygiene, not premium features. Both ship in the free open-source core and in every Cloud plan, right out of the box. We refuse to charge the “SSO tax” that locks essential security behind enterprise tiers elsewhere.
How does the open-core model work?
The platform core is licensed under AGPL and developed in the open. RMM Labs earns revenue from the managed Cloud edition, enterprise support subscriptions and professional services — similar to Zabbix or GitLab.
Can I switch between self-hosted and Cloud?
Yes, in both directions. Export/import tooling and our migration team make moving between deployments straightforward, with no data loss.
What does Cloud cost after the free 10 devices?
€1.25 per device per month, billed monthly, with volume discounts from 1,000 devices. No per-technician fees, no minimum contract.
